Hello, Sorry it has been so long..life has gotten in the way, but I am going to try and revive this blog!!! I want to say that I am officially back on the Flylady Wagon!! I had fallen off a long time again and back into some CHAOS.
Let me give you some history of the past few months, so you will know where I am coming from: Well, really I guess I need to start a few years ago. Almost 2 full years ago, I developed an unexplained cough. It would no go away!! So, I sought advice from my Dr. She did all the right things, chest x-ray, acid reflux meds, finally sent me to a Pulmonolgist who diagnosed me with Asthma. I went on daily Asthma meds and followed all their advice, but it didn't help much.
Finally, the last week of September I woke up one night short of breath and feeling like someone was stabbing me in the breast. Very painful, but not being one to panic, I took my inhaler and the strongest pain meds we had in the house and went back to bed. The next day even though I was still hurting a little bit, but went to work. I did not get over it during the day so I called the Dr. She said she thought it was bronchitis and sent me for another chest x-ray. The next day I called her office for the results. She said either it was bronchitis or if I was more short of breath and hurting to go to the Emergency Department it could be a Pulmonary Embolism!! Well guess what!! 3 Pulmonary Emboli, One round of Pneumonia, One round of Renal failure from antibiotic toxicity. 5 hospital stays for a total of 21 days later and I am better.
During this time, I was forced to stay out of work for recovery.. When I was feeling better and bored, I started very slowly cleaning out all my cabinets and closets 15 minutes at a time to regain my strength. Then low and behold my house was looking cleaner!! So I looked up the Flylady again on Facebook and on her website and made a plan. I started with shine my sink and went from there to morning and bedtime routines..So far so good.
Sorry this is so long!! I will go into more details tomorrow about the routines and what I have set up.
Thanks for reading!!!

The first thing I need to work on is a healthier me. I realize that hitting 41, I am not getting any younger. It is time to get myself together and do all I can to ensure I am healthy and around for a long. long time.
So step one of getting healther is exercise. I have needed to start a program for years, but I haven't done it. I am going to use the excuse that my thyroid has caused me to have little or no energy. I have felt tired and overwhelmed by everything for a while.
My thryroid levels are finally back under control, so now I can't use that as an excuse.
My friend Tempi had the by pass surgery and my sister in law, Sheila had a lap band done. They have both lost over 100 pounds and look great, but the idea of surgey scares me. My friend from High School Moe has lost 110 pounds with diet and exercise. This is the route I am going to try to take.
Here is the plan: 1. I am going to buy a scale and weigh in on Sundays.
2. Make myself a chart to keep up with progress and goals.
3. I am going to start working out everyday
4. I am going to start eating better foods and smaller portion
5. I am going to keep a food diary
Last time I went to the Dr, about a month ago, I weighed 230 pounds. To me that is a crazy number so my overall goal is to loose at least 100 pounds
My first goal is to lose 30 pounds and get down to 200!! I really think this is obtainable!! So here we go taking the first step today.
I am proud to say that I have walked a mile this morning using the video I bought. I am going to work on a menu for the week that involves smaller portions and healthier eating.
So that is step one. We will see how it goes!!

Summer 2011
Well here we are again, months and months have gone on since I have added to this blog. I hope to be working on it more as well as working on myself and our house. I know, I know, I know. I have reread my first posts and they say this too, but I am trying to once again struggle and get my act together.
The first thing: I have gone to the Dr about my Thyroid issues, which I am happy to say are under control again. He wants me to eat a "fruit" diet and start going to the Gym.. Yeah right is he paying for the Gym?? SO to compromise, I ordered a walk at home video. It is 5 days of one mile walks. They are divided in 15 minute segments for everyday!! ( according to flylady you can do anything for 15 minutes, right!) I started it this morning, and am very pleased to say that I walked the 1st mile!!! My plan is to do this in the morning every day.
The second thing : is the house: I am off work for the Holiday, so I plan on spending today and tomorrow crisis cleaning and coming up with routines for the summer. My goal is to get the kids and the house in some kind of routine for the summer. I see chore charts and room cleaning in their future.
The third thing: is my routines. Gotta get myself organized too!! We are spending too much time eating out, and my house is a mess because I have no routines in place. UGGG!!!
The fourth thing: is to remodel the house. Starting with new kid and Dog friendly flooring, paint for the mudroom and living room, new diningroom and Bedroom furniture, shelving and a desk for Austin's room, and new furniture for Maggie's room.

I hope to use this blog to hold myself accountable by posting my goals and the things I have done to achieve them.
I Want to work on 4 major areas of my life..
1. Loving me and making myself a healthier person.
2. Working on being a better housekeeper. Keeping away the CHAOS.
3. Remodeling the house Room by Room
4. Saving as much money as possible and becoming fiscally Savvy.

Good Kind of Tired!!
It is Sunday again, and I am tired.
I need to get my self organized by making a menu for next week..So far I have planned 3 days
Mon--eat out (Boy Scout trip to the Sheriffs Department)
Tues- Baked Spaghetti
Wed--Pork Chop,Potatoes, and Pork and Bean Casseroles
Thursday--Frozen Pizza with cheese and Peperoni added
Friday--eat out (we do try to always do family night out on Friday)
I need to go and do the FlyLady thing...15 minutes in the kitchen to a shiny sink.
Clean out the Refrigerator and take out the Trash...And Definitely clean up from Decorating the Tree...
I just don't feel like it because I am tired..
I have been running non stop all day: Shower, taught Sunday School, lunch, went by to check on my parents, Uncle Harvey's Retirement Reception, Quick trip to Walmart, Kids to Children's play practice, Grocery Store, decorated Tree and Mantel for Christmas.
I am so tired!!!! I am going to bed.. As soon as I retrieve my camera from Julie's car, I will post a blog about my Uncle Harvey and about what we have been up to on the Christmas celebration front...
